Beginners: knockvicar, cootehall, back via carrick rd.
Intermediate: knockvicar, cootehall, hartley, carrick, Boyle.
Advanced: shankhill x, Elphin, carrick, hartley, cootehall, knockvicar, Boyle.All spins will aim to call at lough key restaurant for coffee and chat if riders are dry and conditions allow

Weather is promised quite good for Sunday. 9-11 degrees with mostly dry spells.
What better way to enjoy the nice brighter spring mornings than a spin on the bike. New cyclists are more than welcome to join in.

West Coast Wheelers open race, A3/A4 and A1/A2, Sun Feb 26th 2012

What: WCW Open Race, A3/A4 and A1/A2 race
When: Sun Feb 26th 2012, sign on from 10.30, racing rolls out at 12
Where: Loughrea, Galway

After last year's successful return of the West Coast Wheelers open race, WCW will be once again kicking off the road racing season west of the Shannon, on Sunday 26th February.
Sign on from 10.30 am at the Temperance Hall in Loughrea, rolling out at 12:00 to the race start.
The race route runs over the same challenging circuit as last year, with the climb over Derrybrien tending to split the group early.
Separate A3/A4 and A1/A2 races will be run. See maps/additional details on there website. Race prizes are generously sponsored by Nigels Cycles Galway and MBW Galway and Tullamore, with KOH sponsored by Tri bikes Loughrea.

New Time for the Sunday Spin:

Due to numerous requests and after discussions at the committee meeting last Friday night we have decided to change the time of the Sunday Spin to 11.00am on a trial basis for 3 weeks starting from this Sunday 12th. Start point At St.Josephs Boys National School Abbeytown Boyle. So can you please spread the word and encourage any friends or family that may wish to come out on there first spin to join us as all levels of cyclists will be catered for. (The route is the same as last week and i will post them on the blog later this evening)

Comprehensive maintenance course on all types of bicycles covering routine safety checks, fault finding, puncture repair and developing an understanding of bike components (drivetrain, brakes, wheels etc)
