6 June 2012

Just some updates and some local events that are coming up.
Thursday's training Time Trial will not run this Thursday and will take a break for a month or so.

Tuesday/Thursday Evening Spins from St Josephs Boys National School Abbeytown  Boyle  at 7.00pm. All abilities catered for.

Sunday spin will also continue at 9.00am for advanced and 11.00am for intermediate and beginners. Routes will be up on the blog and face book .  There was great numbers out  at the last spin so let’s keep that going while the good weather is on our side and if you have any friends and family that are thinking about joining us Sunday is a good morning  as they can join any group.

Sponsored Cycle the 17th of June on behalf of St Michaels Special School Castlerea.
This would be nice preparation for the people doing the An Post Tour de Burren on the 23rd of June. It's also in aid of a very worthwhile cause. It would be nice if a few Wheelers could support it.

Routes for the NorthWest 150 leisure sportif have been decided by the Eire Og Cycling Club.
There will be 2 distances covering 75km or 150km, with a 50km event available if there is sufficient demand for a shorter spin.
The event will take place on Sunday 24th June 2012 from Collooney Sligo.
Full details including online entry available on www.eireogcycling.com shortly.
Routes are subject to change at the organisers discretion.

Well done to Paul Byrne racing last weekend in the Swords Grand Prix he put in a strong race to come in  just behind the main bunch great position for the tough race that had a steep climb mid route that had to be completed 5 times through the 100km circuit  (race report is on  Curlieu Wheelers face book page)
